As a result of extensive design and construction experience at landfills in California, ML Raub has helped its clients with regulatory compliance and has obtained permits that apply to planning, design, construction, operation, and closure.  Relevant to typical solid waste facilities, these regulations and permits include:

Regulations
  • 40 Code of Federal Regulations, Part 258 (RCRA Subtitle "D" Landfill Requirements)
  • California Code of Regulations (CCR) Title 27 and the former Title 23 and Title 14 regulations
  • Clean Air Act and Local Air Quality Management District Regulations
  • Cal/OSHA Regulations for Hazardous Work and Excavation Safety
  • California Environmental Quality Act (CEQA) and National Environmental Policy Act (NEPA)
Permits
  • Waste Discharge Requirements issued by RWQCB
  • Solid Waste Facility Permit issued by LEA or Cal Recycle
